Larissa Dias Enters Super Heavy at the 2026 Charlotte Fall Open: The World Champion Moves Up
The three time world champion at heavy and No. 2 in the IBJJF women’s gi ranking is registered at super heavy in Charlotte this weekend and in Fort Lauderdale next weekend.
Larissa Dias, the IBJJF world champion at heavy in 2022, 2025 and 2026, is registered at super heavy for the Charlotte Fall International Open this weekend in Concord, North Carolina, in both the gi and no-gi tournaments, according to IBJJF registrations. She is entered at super heavy again a week later at the Fort Lauderdale International Open, gi and no-gi, on October 17. Every one of her World and Pan Championship medals at black belt has come at heavy, according to IBJJF results, so Charlotte and Fort Lauderdale put her one division up.
The Elementum Jiu-Jitsu black belt is second in the IBJJF women’s adult black belt gi ranking with 1,186 points as of October 8. JiuJitsu.net also lists her among the registrations for the IBJJF Crown on November 8 in Long Beach, at super heavy.
Her titles
Dias has reached the podium at nine of the last ten IBJJF Pan and World Championships at black belt heavy, and she won six of them, according to IBJJF results. She competed for MJN Jiu-Jitsu in 2022 and early 2023 and for R1NG BJJ in 2023 to 2025 before Elementum, as those results list her.

The super heavy division

The same is true so far in Fort Lauderdale, where she is the only woman registered at super heavy in either tournament as of October 8, according to IBJJF registrations. Her Elementum teammate Enderson Dias, the 2026 world silver medalist at medium heavy according to IBJJF results, is one of three men at heavy in the Fort Lauderdale gi tournament.
Brackets and where to watch
The Charlotte brackets are out, with the first adult black belt match on Saturday at 9:30 AM local time (6:30 AM PT, 9:30 AM ET), according to the official bracket. The Fort Lauderdale brackets are usually published one to two days before the event. No stream has been announced for either Open.
