Felipe Pena's history making absolute final from the 2026 ADCC World Championship in Kraków leads this week, followed by the eighth seed who took out the top seed at 88kg and three quick finals from Sunday's San Antonio Fall International Open.

1. The first two time absolute champion

Felipe Pena vs. Roosevelt Sousa · ADCC World Championship, absolute final

Felipe Pena lost his +99kg semifinal to Josh Saunders and skipped the bronze match with a foot injury, then won the whole thing. The Gracie Barra star finished Roosevelt Sousa with a rear naked choke at 10:03 of the 20 minute final, according to FloGrappling's broadcast, and became the first athlete to win the ADCC absolute twice, according to ADCC's official results. 2. The eighth seed takes out the first

Felipe Costa vs. Pawel Jaworski · ADCC World Championship, 88kg

Seeded eighth in his ADCC debut, Pawel Jaworski beat the 88kg top seed, Felipe Costa, at 3:55 of a 10 minute qualifying round match, according to FloGrappling's broadcast. The Academia Gorila star reached the final on leg locks and won it, the first ADCC gold for Poland, according to ADCC's official results.

3. The road to the 88kg final

Marlon Tajik vs. Pouya Rahmani · ADCC World Championship, 88kg

Marlon Tajik of Atos Jiu-Jitsu, from Sweden, was the man waiting for Jaworski at the end of the bracket. He made the 88kg final and lost it on a single penalty after a 0-0 match, according to ADCC's official results and our recap.

4. Forty three seconds

Bruno Sena vs. Abraham Majedi · San Antonio Fall Open, light feather semifinal

The IBJJF's video of this semifinal runs 43 seconds from start to finish. Bruno Sena of Pablo Silva BJJ, the 2026 American Nationals champion at light feather, went on to beat Welison Fernandes in the final and take the division, according to IBJJF results, with Abraham Majedi taking bronze.

5. A Six Blades double

Leonardo Souza vs. João Victor Machado · San Antonio Fall Open, middle final

Leonardo Souza, the 2025 European champion at light, competed at middle in San Antonio and left with two golds: this final against João Victor Machado of MCHD, then the open class, where Six Blades teammate Kalum Klausner took silver, according to the weekend's results.

6. Eleven years after his first European title

Ricardo Evangelista vs. Jonathan Ten Broek · San Antonio Fall Open, ultra heavy final

Ricardo “Jegue” Evangelista won the European Championship at ultra heavy in 2015, again in 2018, and the Pan in 2019, according to IBJJF results. Eleven years after that first European title, the GF Team veteran was on top of a podium again in San Antonio, beating Jonathan Ten Broek of Ohana Jiu-Jitsu Academy in a two man ultra heavy division.
