Key First Round Matches at the 2026 Pan No-Gi
Nine opening matches in Secaucus pair athletes with major medals, including Julia Maele against defending champion Sarah Galvão at women’s middle on Saturday.
Nine opening matches at the Pan No-Gi put two athletes with major medals against each other, according to the adult black belt brackets the IBJJF published on bjjcompsystem. Eight of them are on Saturday, October 3, and the ninth is the women’s rooster final on Sunday. Every match streams on FloGrappling, which starts its broadcast at 6:30 AM PT (9:30 AM ET) each day.
The matches below are listed exactly as the brackets publish them, with each athlete’s team from the bracket. Times are the scheduled times on bjjcompsystem and can move during the day. The first adult black belt matches of the event are set for Saturday at 11:02 AM ET, so Friday’s broadcast has no adult black belts. - Sarah Galvão (Atos Jiu-Jitsu): the defending Pan No-Gi champion at middle. In the gi this year she won light at the European and Pan Championships and took silver at light and in the open class at the World Championship, and last month she took silver at 65kg at the ADCC World Championship, according to ADCC.
- Julia Maele (OXY): European No-Gi champion at middle in 2019 and 2022 and at light in 2024, with bronze at light at the 2025 Pan No-Gi.

- Maria Vitória Ruffatto (Canby Jiu-Jitsu): won heavy at the 2023 Pan No-Gi, took bronze at heavy and in the open class at the 2024 No-Gi World Championship, and took bronze in the open class at the 2026 World Championship in the gi.
- Maia Matalon (High Noon BJJ Team): bronze at the No-Gi World Championship at heavy in 2017 and at super heavy in 2025.
ADCC’s youngest women’s champion opens her Pan No-Gi

- Helena Crevar (Kingsway Jiu-Jitsu): fourth in the IBJJF women’s adult black belt no-gi ranking as of September 29 and the 2025 No-Gi world champion at medium heavy, and last month she won the over 65kg division at the ADCC World Championship, according to ADCC.
- Bridgett Brumbaugh (Active Jiu-Jitsu): bronze at super heavy at the 2025 World Championship and the 2026 Pan Championship, both in the gi.
